Articles of Faith
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as inspired of
God, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final
authority in faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21)
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 110:1)
We believe in creation, that is, that the triune God, by His own free act
and for His own glory, made in six literal twenty-four hour days, without the
use of preexisting materials, the whole visible and invisible universe.
(Genesis 1:1-31; John 1:3,4; I Corinthians 8:6; Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 1:10;
11:3)
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of
the virgin, Mary, and is true God and true man. (Isaiah 7:14; John 1:1, 14:
8:53)
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and
thereby incurred not only physical death, but also the spiritual death which
is separation from God. (Genesis 1:27; 3:6: Romans 5:12)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the
Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionery sacrifice, and that all
who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and
resurrection. (Romans 4:25; I Corinthians 15:3; II Corinthians 5:21; I John
1:7; Acts 13:29; I Peter 2:24)
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His
ascension into Heaven and His present life there for us, as High Priest and
Advocate. (I Corinthians 15:4; Hebrews 4:14; I John 2:1)
We believe in A that blessed

pretribulational, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13; Philippians 3:20; I Thessalonians 1:10; Revelation
3:10; 4:1)
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born
again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God. (John 1:12;
Acts 20:21)
We believe in separation from all worldly practices and in wholehearted
devotion to the cause of Christ as the only scriptural basis for a happy and
useful life. We believe that the Scriptures teach us to encourage and aid
those of like precious faith. We also believe the Scriptures clearly mandate
ecclesiastical separation, that is separation from any and all who reject the
fundamentals of the faith. (I Corinthians 15:33; II Corinthians 6:14-17)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust, in
the everlasting felicity of the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering
of the lost. (John 5:28, 29)
We believe that the Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a
believer A in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost@
, to show forth in solemn and beautiful emblem our faith in the crucified,
buried and risen Savior, with its effect, our death to sin and resurrection to
a new life. (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12)
We believe that the sign gifts ended during the ministry of the Apostles
and therefore are not in effect today. (I Corinthians 13:8)
